I spoke with President Trump today about the severe storms and historic flooding impacting Indiana, and he informed me that he intends to approve our request for a Presidential Emergency Declaration.

I’m grateful to President Trump for his commitment to getting Hoosiers the federal assistance we need as we continue responding and recovering.

The NWI Tax office is CLOSED following the severe storms and tornadoes that moved through Northwest Indiana.

We hope our clients, families, and friends across NWI are safe. Our thoughts are with everyone in the community dealing with damage, downed trees, and power outages today.

Right now, the priority is taking care of yourselves and your neighbors. Please stay clear of downed power lines and keep the roads clear for local emergency and utility crews.

A quick note regarding tax relief: At this time, the storm has not been officially declared a federal disaster, which is required to claim certain federal casualty loss deductions. We are monitoring the situation closely and will share updates here if any tax relief becomes available for our area.

Ever wonder why there's a pen in our logo? ✒️

We’re throwing it back to Mr. Timothy Matlack, the scribe who used an "iron pen" (iron gall ink) to hand-letter the Declaration of Independence.

One of our favorite lines he carefully inked? The rebellion against the King “for imposing Taxes on us without our Consent.” ❌💸
