Good news! The IRS has increased the maximum Earned Income Tax Credit for the 2026 tax year, which means many eligible taxpayers could receive a larger refund when filing in 2027.

Here are the new maximum EITC amounts:

✅ 0 Qualifying Children: $664 (up from $649)
✅ 1 Qualifying Child: $4,427 (up from $4,328)
✅ 2 Qualifying Children: $7,316 (up from $7,152)
✅ 3 or More Qualifying Children: $8,231 (up from $8,046)
