With Holiday Loans starting or already started let's post a few facts!!!
✅️If H&R block denies you for the holiday loan, yes you can try Jackson Hewitt or Liberty Taxes and vice versa
✅️If you go to Jackson Hewitt or Liberty Taxes for their Holiday loan (whether you get approved or denied) AND you want to get the Refund Advance (the big advance that starts in January) You will ONLY be able to apply with them. As they lock in your social and you would get denied anywhere else. You can file somewhere else but not apply for the advance.
❌️All the tax refund banks are now connected, so if you think you can dodge paying back an advance, think again (and read the small print) they can now collect from your refund regardless who you file with. They can also collect from previous years that you didnt pay back the advance.
❌️Again all the refund banks are now connected, so you can no longer try getting refund advances at different tax offices.
✅️The Holiday Loan is an actual loan so if you dont pay it back it can be sent to collections, or end up on your credit report. The refund advance can only be collected from your actual advance.
