Been quite a week regarding BOI (Beneficial Owner Information) reporting.
On December 23, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated the enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) and FinCEN announced an extended deadline until January 13, 2025, to file your reports.
However, in a whip-lash reversal Thursday the court reinstated the nationwide injunction.
This is a huge sigh of relief for small business and though not final, as of now the required reporting is on hold.
