Rest or follow the plan?
There's always the question when you have a workout plan, when should I rest?
Maybe you have a 5 day a week workout plan or a 3 day a week workout plan, but your workout comes up and you aren't sure if you should work out or not, how do you determine to workout or not?
A few tips:
If the body part you're working out is sore, don't do that workout. You have not recovered.
If your body feels tired, don't workout.
Sometimes you are sleepy and it's ok to work out through that, but if your body feels tired, you need to take a day off.
If either of these are true and you haven't gotten 8 hrs of sleep the last few nights (let's face it, you probably didn't) you will have a better fitness outcome by sleeping an extra half hour.
It's not laziness, it's recovery.
