When you're contributing to an individual retirement account (IRA), the type of account you choose affects when you may receive the tax benefit.
Traditional IRAs → if you qualify, your contribution may be fully or partially deductible in the current year.
Roth IRAs → No deduction in the current year, but potential for tax-free withdrawals in the future.
