PREPARING DOCUMENTS TO BRING TO YOUR CPA FOR 2026 TAX YEAR
1. By submitting your tax documents by March 28, 2027, it will give Scott enough time to prepare your tax returns by the due date.
2. Please don’t staple papers together, using paper clips works best for us.
3. Please don’t put your papers in plastic page protectors. We scan your Documents, it is time consuming to take your documents out to scan, and then put back into the plastic page protectors.
4. Please send what you can electronically by using our portal system or emailing us.
5. Please group like items together, there is no need for individual folders. You can put all of your documents in one folder and separate the groups with paper clips.
6. Please organize your notes, instead of sticky notes all through your documents, please put notes together. A note with facts and numbers is what we would prefer whenever accuracy is concerned.
7. Please open all of your envelopes, and give us the actual documents needed for the preparation of your tax return.
8. Please give us flat papers, and unfold your documents in order to bring in.
9. Please add your receipt totals for each category where applicable.
