🎃 Who has the scariest costume this Halloween?

It’s an honor to join a panel of experienced professionals and contribute to the education of fellow tax practitioners. Navigating New York State tax assessments can be complex, and this session is designed to provide practical, real-world insights.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the NYCPA - The New York State Society of CPAs CFO Committee for having me speak this morning on “What Every Accountant Needs to Know About Sales Tax.”

It was a pleasure connecting with such an engaged group of professionals. Sales and use tax can be a surprisingly tricky area—even for seasoned accountants—and I truly appreciated the opportunity to share insights, answer questions, and help demystify this complex topic.

Whether we were discussing exemptions, nexus pitfalls, audit triggers, or refund opportunities, the thoughtful questions and participation made it clear: this is a topic that impacts businesses of all sizes, and accountants play a vital role in keeping them compliant and protected.
