McAlister has been a Certified Public accountant since 1979. Tom has extensive experience and knowledge in the accounting of and tax preparation for individuals and businesses. Tom has extensive experience in auditing specifically. He has worked for the Colorado Department of Revenue as a field auditor, auditing Fortune 500 companies. When hired by Coors as the tax manager he reduced their tax aud
it exposure by approximately four million USD and won a $45m Sales and Use Tax case against the State of Colorado. Tom continued to serve as a tax and audit manager at Storage Tek Corporation. He reduced their annual income taxes by about $7m USD and won a $70m Sales and Use Tax case against the State of Connecticut. Tom subsequently opened his own CPA firm with an emphasis in accounting, business management, taxation, and advisory management. Tom has an extensive background working with federal, state, and municiple agencies and has conducted tax litigation when necessary.
