When tax preparers sit with us, we always ask why they're using their current software.
The answer is almost never "because I compared my options and this was the best fit based on features and pricing structure."
It's usually: It's what I know. My mentor used it. They're all the same.
Those aren't bad reasons. What's bad is not updating your assumptions.
What we see is that most people, when they actually sit down and compare, are glad they did. Not always because they switch. Because they stop operating on an assumption.
