Big news: I’m throwing down (literally) at the Winterset Art Center’s Pottery Throw Down, inspired by the BBC show! 🏺
As most of you know, I’m a handbuilder through and through — so this means I’ve been back at the wheel, brushing off skills I haven’t leaned on in a while. Humbling? Yes. Fun? Also yes.
I’ll be competing alongside 6 other talented potters on August 1, with a show and reception following on August 22. Come cheer us on (or come watch me wrestle a lump of clay into submission, either way).

There’s nothing quite like stepping into a fellow artist’s creative space ✨ This past weekend I had the joy of visiting the studio of ceramicists Jim and Sue Heemstra — a beautiful setup right in their own backyard!

Jim and Sue are two of the kindest, most creative souls, and their work absolutely reflects that. Needless to say, I couldn’t leave empty-handed. A couple of new pieces have officially found a home in my collection!

If you ever get the chance to visit a fellow artist’s studio, say yes. Every. Single. Time. 🙌
