Initial jobless claims dropped a bit from 217k to 215k. This is good because it means less people were let go from their work.

But there are some problems as the number of people “in the workforce” looking for work shrunk by 720,000 in June.

Now, this includes many of the Boomer generation retiring which has been expected.

Home sales have continued to be slow.

While healthy turnover and steady movement of homes is overall best, the slowing sales could eventually help the prices adjust down to levels that are more achievable for young families. This is exceedingly important as owning a home is a key component to many families' decisions to grow and have more children.

The prices have not come down yet with prices up 1.8% year over year.
