Heads up, Minnesota employers! ⚠️ The state's new Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program begins January 1, 2026, and will require a new payroll deduction. Employers may withhold a maximum of 0.44% of an employee's wages to fund their portion of the premium. However, employers may also choose to cover a larger share themselves. Employees must be notified of this new deduction as soon as possible. 📝

Premium payments are due quarterly, with the first payment due on April 30, 2026.
