Here are a few things to remember..
1. Outside of the preparation fee, there’s additional small fees assessed as well (software/bank fees, electronic filing fees and document preparation fee, that majority of all tax companies have so please look at your tax documents that you signed for a full break down.
2. Please remember that if you took out an advance, it will come directly out of your refund. If your state refund comes before the federal, the amount of the loan will start being taken from it.
3. If your refund was offset due to past due obligations, you will still owe your fees, even though you didn’t get a refund, your debt was paid down or cleared and my services were still rendered.
4. You can check where’s my refund for updates on your federal refund. You will need your federal amount, filling status and social security number. You should receive your tax refund within 21 days of it being accepted and processed by the IRS. Unless there is an issue. In that case..
Please read any letters you receive from the IRS before you contact me. Most letters explain in detail how to verify your identity or what steps are needed to receive your refund.
5. Everyone’s tax situation is different so please don’t compare your taxes to someone else’s based on the amount of children you are claiming. Someone with w2s and children will usually get more than someone self employed with children because they pay federal taxes.
