Anyone else keeping close tabs on the Olympics? Because we sure are! Daring to dream can feel scary and farfetched, but in the end, it's worth it! Watching these amazing athletes compete over the last week has been truly inspiring. They truly are the best in their respective fields, and their abilities and determination deserve to be celebrated!

And an extra special congratulations to Sunisa Lee, a St. Paul native competing in Tokyo, for being the 5th straight female Olympian to earn a gold medal in individual all-around gymnastics for team USA. You go, Suni!

Sunisa Lee, an 18-year-old from Minnesota, won the gymnastics' signature individual event with her teammate Simone Biles out.

Whoa, we're halfway there!

Somehow we are already in JULY with the first half of 2021 under our belt! It's crazy to think that just six months ago we were cold and stuck in the house with snow on the ground, and this weekend we're looking at sunshine and 80's! And just as the seasons change, so do we as human beings.

What have you accomplished in the last six months? Is there something you've acheived that you're really proud of this year? On the opposite hand, are there goals or hobbies that you've fallen a little short on? Are there more productive and beneficial ways to use your time and abilities to foster your relationships?

There's still plenty of 2021 left to accomplish all of the things you set your sights on just six months ago! Focus and utilize these next six months to the best of your ability, and share with us what you're hoping to have complete by year end!

"The Carpenter I hired to help me restore and old farmhouse had just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric saw quit, and now his ancient pickup truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence.

On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.

Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.

"Oh, that's my trouble tree", he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning I pick them up again."
