From a tax preparer's perspective, we noticed that the IRS is still making changes to the 2020 tax return laws. Just this past weekend (Feb. 13 & 14) Congress is trying to figure out how they can help families with children get additional child tax credit & how it can be redistributed to taxpayers, so you may miss out on those opportunities filing early & leaving thousands of dollars on the table. An amendment tax return is required to get any additional tax dollars & you could be waiting for months to see that money.
