A native El Pasoan, Jiovana earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master in Professional Accounting degrees from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. She brings valuable experience from her time with Big Four accounting firms, including PwC and EY, where she supported assurance engagements, integrated audits, and financial statement audits across multiple industries.

Jiovana joined Lauterbach, Borschow & Co.’s audit practice after returning to El Paso and earned her Certified Public Accountant license in 2026. She specializes in serving clients in the financial institutions and entertainment/recreation industries, bringing expertise and dedication to every engagement.

Hazel earned her Bachelor of Accountancy from New Mexico State University, along with minors in Psychology and Information Systems. After building her experience in both public accounting and the private sector, she joined Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. as a Tax Associate in 2023, was promoted to Senior Tax Associate in 2024, and now steps into her new role as Tax Supervisor.

She joined the Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. audit team as an Audit Associate after completing her graduate studies and has continued to grow within the firm through her hard work and commitment to excellence, earning promotions to Senior Audit Associate in 2021 and now Audit Supervisor.
