💻✨ Planning Ahead for 2027 at Accounting Breeze!

One thing I’ve learned as a business owner is that staying ahead means continuing to learn, adapt, and invest in the right tools.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting with Miguel from IT Systems Solutions to review our hardware and software needs as we prepare for 2027.

I really appreciated his knowledge, patience, and willingness to explain the different options so I could make informed decisions about what’s best for our business.

Technology is an important part of what we do, but ultimately, it’s about the people we serve.

My goal is always to make Accounting Breeze more efficient, secure, and better equipped to provide the personalized service our clients deserve.

💪📊 When Accounting Meets Fitness!

After 13 years of running Accounting Breeze, I experienced a first today!

I visited a new client at Body by Design Personal Training, and let’s just say this wasn’t your typical accounting meeting! 😂

Almost every inch of his gym has a piece of exercise equipment. So naturally, while taking notes and discussing his business, I found myself sitting on one of the machines… working my inner thighs!

Who says you can’t multitask? 💪😂

One of the things I love most about my profession is getting to know the people and businesses behind the numbers.

I enjoyed learning about his experience helping people work toward their fitness goals, and I’m looking forward to seeing his business continue to grow.

I also look forward to learning more about his personal training programs so I can confidently recommend his services to others.

Supporting small businesses means understanding what makes each one special. 💙

Another tax season completed, but this one feels different.

Monday Motivation: Progress Without Pressure

As entrepreneurs, we sometimes feel that we have to do everything, be everywhere, and keep moving at full speed.

But I’ve been reminded lately that success isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s about being intentional with our time, recognizing the value of our relationships, and trusting the work we’ve already put in.

Some opportunities take time to develop. Some relationships reconnect when the timing is right. And sometimes stepping away for a few hours brings a fresh perspective.

As we head into another busy week and the October 15 tax deadline, here’s my reminder to fellow entrepreneurs:

Keep showing up. Keep building. But don’t forget to enjoy the journey and protect your peace along the way.

✨ More Money. Better Systems. Less Hustle.

Sometimes stepping away from the office for just a couple of hours is exactly what we need to reconnect with our purpose.

Today, I had the opportunity to attend SHE-EO Unhinged Live, hosted by Shelby St. Clair, surrounded by women entrepreneurs sharing their experiences, challenges, and ambitions.

One of my favorite moments wasn’t about business at all. It was a simple exercise asking another woman, “How are you, really?”

Thirty minutes of genuine conversation reminded me that whether we’re talking about business, family, or life transitions, good advice always starts with listening.

I returned to the office feeling energized, inspired, and reminded that building a successful business isn’t just about numbers. It’s about relationships, timing, meaningful connections, and creating a life we enjoy along the way.

Thank you, Shelby, for bringing women together and creating space for authentic conversations.

Day 6 of October. 🌎🎶Michael Jackson seemed to follow me today, from my morning workout all the way to the office. Then Heal the World came on, and it brought me right back to my dad. This weekend I was reminded that sometimes immigrants even learn English through music. My dad was so proud to become an American. This picture was taken the day he became a U.S. citizen in Downtown Los Angeles. There we were, my brother Dennis and I, his children, with our whole lives still ahead of us. My dad worked incredibly hard for the life he built. He went from doing all kinds of jobs, including driving a taxi in New York and working in shipping and receiving in California, to eventually becoming a self-employed paralegal. He showed us through his example what perseverance, hard work, and creating opportunity looked like. And then his children found their own ways to contribute. Dennis went on to serve in the Navy, and I built a career where I get to help families and entrepreneurs every day. As a matter of fact, this morning I worked with an immigrant inventor who spent four years getting his product into production. I love being a small part of hardworking people’s lives and helping them succeed. I get a front-row seat to people building something, taking chances, persevering, and creating better lives for themselves and their families.
Looking at this old picture today, I can’t help but think my dad would be proud. He came here looking for opportunity, worked hard to build a better life for his children, and taught us to do the same for others.
Maybe that’s how we heal the world,one family, one opportunity, and one generation at a time. 🌎 #🌎
