For those of you who still use our services as B&B Tax and Accounting...Last night our store was broken into. Our tax offices were not breached. No data, papers, or personal information was ever accessed. We are closed today 1/21/25 to clean up the mess created by the thief. The tax office will reopen tomorrow morning as scheduled. Starting Monday we will be back to normal tax season hours Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 12 pm.

Tomorrow, December 1st, sports betting goes live in Missouri. Any winnings are taxable income. If you choose to bet, keep a log of your bets. Winners and losers. You will need this come tax time. The sports books will be reporting your winnings to the IRS and the State, regardless of you cashing out your online account. Don't get caught unprepared. 🤑🏈💰📈

Tax filing season officially starts Monday. Bryan will have the office open 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 12 pm on Saturday. Don't forget your ID. The new change this year is the 1099K. If you use any online payment app, make sure you don't have one. Tax documents that come to you are not due to be postmarked until January 31st.

The year is winding down and that means deadlines for certain filings are coming. A new one this year is Beneficial Ownership Information filing with FinCen. This is a new one and it is due December 31st. Don't ignore this one. The fine for failing to file is $500 a day. This applies to business owners that have an LLC, an S Corp, or a closely held C Corp. Give us a call at (573) 525-9496 and we can help you get this filed.

Tax season is once again upon us. If you run a business and need to send out any W-2's or 1099 NEC's give us a call at 573-525-9496. The office will be open for walk-in business on January 19th. If you need assistance before that date, call or text us. We look forward to a great tax season.

Filing deadline is Monday. If you need an extension, you must let us know. If you have dropped off your return and not picked it up, you need to come sign paperwork and pay for it so that it will be filed on time.
