Making progress on our new office!!! Kitchenette cabinets are set in place and will be installed this weekend. Then we turn our sight to the bathroom cabinets and tile. We’re looking forward to being open for the start of the next tax season (January 2026).

Just an FYI…

Update from IRS: “We have processed all paper and electronic individual tax returns received prior to January 2023. We are continually opening mail within normal time frames. This means we have processed all tax returns we’ve received for tax year 2021 or earlier, if those returns had no errors or did not require further review.”

With that said, be on the look out for notices and PLEASE DO NOT PANIC if you receive one. Most notices are informational so IF you do receive one, please call our offices right away & we’ll help you interpret what it says & means.

Just in case you didn't know...the tax deadline for "some" Californians (individuals, businesses, estates, trusts, and tax-exempt organizations in FEMA declared counties), has been extended again. This includes filing of tax returns and payments.

CA Residents…A little tax relief coming your way!!!

The IRS announced that taxpayers located in more than 40 California counties, including Sacramento and San Joaquin counties, will have until May 15, instead of April 18, to file various personal and business tax returns and make tax payments. The California Franchise Tax Board announced the same one-month deferment two days later.

The relief was triggered by the federal state of emergency responding to the atmospheric river that has drenched the state for weeks.

*** Has your income changed & you now qualify for the Child Tax Credit Prepayment??? ***

Families can now report income changes using the Child Tax Credit Update Portal. This portal can be access on the IRS website. If families expect or have had changes in income, or changes in which parent is claiming the children this year, be sure to make all updates no later than Monday, November 29th for them to be reflected on the December payment.
