WIN Private Wealth

WIN Private Wealth We exist to help you turn income into wealth. Uncertainty into strategy. Pressure into a plan that protects what you've earned and builds the life you want next.

We strongly believe the WINs will come. In considering any career change, many questions may arise, such as: What will be my responsibilities? How will I be trained? How will I be compensated? The answers to these questions depend on many factors. When you sell insurance or financial services, you're not merely selling products, you're developing relationships. Your relationship with your customer

s, as well as the trust they place both in you and in the products you offer, are critical components to your ultimate success. You'll also make a vital contribution to your community, and when you see the difference that can make, it's more fulfilling than you might imagine. Agents with the Stockton General office provide very intimate services in the insurance and financial services marketplace. They meet with and know their clients on a personal level. The responsibilities of an agent include: contacting new people, meeting with them and fact-finding to gather necessary information regarding their present situation, providing analysis of situations and, ultimately, presenting solutions that help meet objectives. Your income is your biggest asset. Are you actually protecting it?

Most people think disability insurance is about permanent disability. It’s really about protecting your paycheck.

In this video I break down the 4 things to check on any policy: definition of disability, elimination period, benefit period, and benefit amount.

We don’t sell insurance, we’re fee-only fiduciaries. But we review these policies for our clients because getting this wrong is a risk we don’t want anyone taking. If you’re a specialist and don’t have this in place, let’s talk.

3 questions from my Q&A, answered:

1. Real estate or stocks? Depends on your situation. Stocks give you liquidity and low barrier to entry. Real estate gives you leverage and tax benefits, but ties up capital and time.

2. When should you hire a financial advisor? No magic age. It comes down to complexity. When the questions get bigger than you or start eating your time, that’s your sign.

3. How do you build wealth on a tight budget? Create an order of operations for your money: employer match first, small cash buffer second, automate your investing third, then attack high interest debt.

Simple isn’t always easy, but it works.

What are your thoughts on a permanent policy? Client asked yesterday as we finished up a quarterly review.

Whole life, IUL, doesn’t matter, my answer’s the same.
For 90% of people, permanent insurance doesn’t make sense.

Here’s why. It bundles three things: insurance, tax free growth, and accumulation. You can buy all three separately for a fraction of the cost with better performance. Term for the insurance, a Roth for the tax free growth, and the market for accumulation, which outperforms an insurance policy over time, it’s not close.

The only real exceptions: business owners looking for a tax shelter, and estate planning late in life.

For everyone else, you’re paying a premium for convenience you don’t need.

Control is an illusion. The best athletes and entrepreneurs know it.

This week on Own Your Revenue, I sat down with Jeanene Gray(Jeanene Gray M.Ed, M.S. | Athlete Mental Performance), mental performance coach and former D1 volleyball player who spent almost 15 years inside University of Oregon athletics before building her own practice, Gray Peak Performance.

We got into the reframe she teaches every athlete she works with: swap “what if” for “even if” and watch your brain find a way out. We talked about the difference between pressure that fuels you and pressure that breaks you. Why chasing control challenges your sense of purpose. What happens to your identity when the thing you built your life around ends. And why high performers treat everyone around them better than they treat themselves.

If you’ve ever felt stuck against a wall with no way through, this one gives you the tools to look sideways.

“What if” keeps you stuck. “Even if” sets you free.

Jeanene Gray (Jeanene Gray M.Ed, M.S. | Athlete Mental Performance) breaks down the one-word reframe that gets athletes out of spiral thinking. How replacing “even” with “what”, can be such a powerful transformation.

Who do we serve best?
Three questions shaped our niche.

What problem are we trying to solve?
Athletes, entrepreneurs (and coaches) make great money, but it comes with complexity. Most people never get the real value of working with an advisor.

Who is it for?
People with income and complexity beyond traditional advice. 7-figure W-2 earners, NIL athletes running 1099 income, business owners, coaches navigating job changes across states.

Why?
We’ve lived it. We’ve played sport at the highest levels. We’ve built, and continue to build, a business today. We’re not guessing.

Sound like you? Love to schedule an intro to see how we can bring value to your situation!

9 Questions Every Athlete Should Ask a Financial Advisor.

There are more than 300,000 financial advisors in the U.S. Almost none have walked in your shoes.

Your money doesn’t work like everyone else’s. NIL checks, signing bonuses, guaranteed versus non-guaranteed money, a career window that can close on one play. The right advisor builds your plan with all areas in mind.

Swipe through the 9 questions to ask before you hire anyone, plus 3 red flags that mean it’s time to keep looking.

Save this for your next meeting.
Send it to a teammate who needs it too.

If you’re a professional or college athlete earning NIL and you’re ready for a financial team built around you, link in bio to schedule a call.

Solo 401k > SEP IRA

Here’s why I use a Solo 401k for our athlete clients instead.
A SEP IRA only lets you contribute as the employer. A Solo 401k lets you contribute two ways. Employer and employee. That employee piece is where the real unlock is. You can elect Roth on it. SEP can’t do that.

Quick math. Max your Solo 401k for 4 years as a college athlete earning NIL income. That’s $98,000 total. Don’t touch it. Let it grow at 8% until age 60.
That $98,000 turns into roughly $2 million. Tax free.

Sometimes the right move is paying tax on the seed now instead of the harvest later. For athletes, NIL income creates a window most people never get. Taxes will be a lifelong pain point if you don’t plan for it early.
If this applies to you or someone in your circle, share it with them.

Want to talk through your own situation? Send us a message. We’d love to set up an intro call.

Would you buy the Porsche in year one, or wait?

Most athletes don’t lose money because they bought something nice. They lose it because of the order they spent it in.

Pay yourself first.
Upgrade slowly.
Build for the year the checks stop.

That’s the habit that separates head start money from lifetime money.

Shawna Chrisman scaled Destination Aesthetics from one room to five locations across Sacramento, eventually being nationally recognized!

She admits she didn’t have time to look at the financials. Too busy, too many patients, growing too fast to slow down for the numbers.
Sound familiar?

Her honest take on what she’d do differently, coaching her team sooner and paying closer attention to the PL from day one, is a lesson every business owner needs to hear.
