Thank you to everyone who joined StoneBridge Advisors in celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and the rich history of Ellicott City on Saturday, October 17.

We loved welcoming our community to 24 Frederick Road, the historic George Ellicott House, for an day of history, connection, and celebration!

One of the day’s highlights was a special visit from a historical reenactor portraying George Ellicott, who brought the past to life and delighted guests with a performance on the bass recorder. 🎶

It was a wonderful opportunity to share the story of our historic building, connect with neighbors, and honor the heritage that makes Ellicott City so special.

Congratulations to our Partner, Matt Larson, on completing the Berlin Marathon in Germany!

Matt crossed the finish line with an impressive time of 3:26:21, conquering the full 42.195 km (26.2 miles) through the streets of Berlin, with the race starting and finishing near the iconic Brandenburg Gate. As one of the world’s most prestigious marathons and part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, the Berlin Marathon attracts elite runners and tens of thousands of participants from around the globe. What an incredible accomplishment, Matt! Your dedication, perseverance, and determination are truly inspiring. Way to run, Matt!

200 MILES FOR VETERANS - Congratulations to Drew Yager (far right of front row), Practice Manager in our Ellicott City office, for completing the Hood to Coast 196 mile relay run from Mt. Hood to Seaside Oregon to raise funds for Catch A Lift Fund on August 28-29. Cath A Lift Fund is a non-profit organization providing gym memberships, personal training, and mental health support to post 9/11 veterans, including combat wounded amputees.

Founded in 2010 in memory of Army veteran Chris Coffland, the organization provides yearly gym memberships, fitness programs, and in home gym equipment, along with group counseling, weekly motivational check ins, and peer support. For many veterans, coming home is harder than deploying.

Catch A Lift is headquartered in the Baltimore area, though it serves veterans in all 50 states. Catch A Lift gives them a path forward through fitness training, community, and support that helps rebuild their strength, confidence, and sense of purpose.
