Breaking news! Slicer Income Tax has been upgraded to 5G! And we don’t mean 5G network, something even better: 5th Generation has joined the business full time! Please welcome Jenna Young Strong (AKA 5G 😁), daughter of Linda Young. Gail Slicer always had hopes her granddaughter Jenna would join the family business. Jenna has been working with us part time for a number of years learning the business just like we all did before her. We’re very excited for our newly expanded family business and hope to serve you for years to come.

Income tax filing season is half over. Five more weeks to the filing deadline. If you won’t be ready to file by April 15, let us file an extension for you 👍 Remember, it is an extension to file only, not an extension to pay.

Slicer Income Tax is celebrating our proud history!

98 years ago, December 1922, our great-grandmother Jeannette Whitmore became a new agent at the IRS office in Hartford, CT. Her acceptance of that position was the genesis of Slicer Income Tax today through 5 generations of women in our family. The name may have changed through the years and generations, but it is the same pedigree. Jeannette’s daughter, Hazel Whitmore Hastings joined the business next and it was continued by Gail Hastings Slicer. Gail’s daughter-in-law, Carol Slicer, wife of Carl Slicer, began working with Gail as did Gail’s daughter, Linda Slicer Young. Today, Carol and Linda operate Slicer Income Tax as a 4th generation family business. Several years ago our 5th generation businesswoman, Jenna Young Strong, began assisting part time. We are extremely proud of our heritage and we look forward to continued service to our community in the coming years.
