Before you decide to elect S-Corp for the tax savings, you need to understand that there are added costs to being an S-Corp.
Payroll, payroll returns, a business tax return, etc - all added costs. And the benefits MIGHT not be worth it for you. Plus, if you do it wrong - you're now out of compliance and opening yourself up to thousands in penalties and fines.
This is why you don't take tax advice from other business owners who don't know wtf they're talking about.
