Last week at the 20th annual , more than 100 delegates representing all 50 states met with 200 Members of Congress and congressional staff to advocate for music education and the music products industry.

Delegates urged support for Title I, Title II, and Title IV, Part A funding, helping ensure continued access to music education for the 54 million students connected to music programs nationwide. A trade delegation also met with key members of the Senate Finance and House Ways and Means Committees to discuss the economic impact of current tariffs and potential trade restrictions, advocating for exclusions for music products, components, and the raw materials used in manufacturing.

A highlight of the day was Alan meeting Congresswoman Jahana Hayes of Connecticut, the 2016 National Teacher of the Year and a passionate advocate for public education and students.

This year’s Fly-In also featured Congressional Record, a bipartisan celebration of the unifying power of music and the arts, with participation from members of the Congressional Musicians Caucus and Congressional Arts Caucus.

NAMM Fly-In delegates kicked off the week with a meaningful Day of Service at McKinley Technology High School, where students connected directly with leaders across production, technology, touring, business and more through performances and “Network With the Pros” sessions designed to inspire the next generation of innovators.

A special highlight was spending time with the incredible Queen Cora an inspiration both on and off the stage. Queen Cora’s remarkable career has taken her around the world, performing drums at two Super Bowls and touring with icons including P!nk, Prince and Beyoncé.

Programs like this remind us that the future of our industry is built through mentorship, opportunity and the power of music education. 🎵

Alan and Todd with our incredible client Leland Sklar - Bassist who was officially inducted into the Music Hall of Fame, and so deeply deserving of the honor. A legendary bassist whose unmistakable sound has shaped generations of music, Leland’s work with artists like James Taylor, Phil Collins, and so many more has left a permanent mark on the industry.

Sharing this special moment as he’s surrounded by friends and fellow artists Vince DiCola and Robbie LaBlanc of Cannonballz makes it all the more meaningful. A celebration of talent, legacy, and a career that continues to inspire!! 🎸🏅
