Sometimes God answers a prayer before you even know He's listening.
Last December, I had the opportunity to speak at the Money Concepts Annual Planning Conference in Hollywood, Florida.
At the end of my presentation, I was asked one final question:
"Jamie, we know you do a lot of networking. What other things are you doing to grow your business?"
My answer was simple.
"I'd love to partner with an accounting firm that wants to offer financial planning... or find an advisor who is ready to retire."
What I didn't know was that Jay Triemstra, RFC was sitting in the audience.
Jay told me later that when I said those words, he felt like God tapped him on the shoulder and said, "He's the one."
Over the last several months, along with our amazing team at Money Concepts, Jay and I have been working diligently behind the scenes to make that calling a reality.
Today, I'm honored to share that I am purchasing Jay's practice and will have the privilege of serving the families who have trusted him for so many years.
Jay has spent decades building his business with integrity, professionalism, and genuine care for his clients. The trust he has earned is something every advisor longs to achieve, and I don't take lightly the responsibility of carrying that legacy forward.
Congratulations, Jay, on an incredible career and a retirement that is so well deserved. Thank you for your friendship, your mentorship, and for placing your confidence in me. I pray this next season of life is filled with joy, good health, family, and new adventures.
This transition has been months in the making. Together with the incredible team at Money Concepts, we've developed a thoughtful plan to ensure a seamless experience for every client. Our goal is that this transition feels less like a change and more like a continuation of the care and service Jay has always provided.
Growth also brings responsibility. As my practice has expanded, I've invested in better systems, stronger processes, and additional resources so that every client, both current and new, receives an even higher level of service and communication. My commitment has never been to become the biggest practice. It has always been to become better for the people who trust me.
At the end of the day, financial planning isn't about portfolios. It's about people. It's about listening well, building lifelong relationships, and helping families make wise financial decisions with confidence.
I'm humbled by this opportunity and grateful for everyone who has helped make it possible. I look forward to meeting each of Jay's clients over the coming months and continuing the relationships he has built over so many years.
Thank you, Jay. Congratulations on an extraordinary career and an even greater legacy. I plan to honor it well.
