Questions Families Keep Asking 💙

One of the most common questions we hear is: “What does the ABA intake process look like?”

If you’re just beginning your autism journey or exploring ABA therapy for the first time, it can feel overwhelming. The good news? You don’t have to figure it out alone.

At Kaibab Behavioral Services, we believe the intake process should be clear, supportive, and centered around your family—not just paperwork.

✨ Here’s what you can expect:
✔️ A conversation to learn about your child and your family’s goals
✔️ Insurance verification and assistance with required paperwork
✔️ A comprehensive assessment with one of our BCBAs
✔️ An individualized treatment plan tailored to your child’s unique strengths and needs
✔️ Ongoing communication so you always know what’s next

Our BCBA-led team is committed to making the process as smooth and welcoming as possible. From your first phone call through the start of services, we’re here to answer your questions and walk alongside you every step of the way.

Because meaningful progress begins with trust. ❤️

If you’re looking for compassionate, individualized in-home ABA therapy in Flagstaff or Northern Arizona, we’d love to connect.

We’re in a new space... but we’re still the same Kaibab. 💙

Our new clinic represents growth—not a change in who we are.

For years, we’ve been honored to support children and families throughout Flagstaff and Northern Arizona in their homes, schools, and communities. As our Kaibab family has grown, we knew it was time to expand our ability to serve even more families while continuing the compassionate, individualized care we’re known for.

✨ What hasn’t changed?
🏡 In-home ABA therapy remains at the heart of what we do.
🤝 Every treatment plan is individualized to each child and family.
💙 We believe meaningful progress happens through relationships, collaboration, and meeting children where they are.

Our new clinic simply gives families another option. Whether services take place in your home, in the community, at our clinic, or a combination of all three, our mission remains the same: helping children build meaningful skills that improve everyday life.

To our current families—thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey.

To families searching for support—we’d love to show you around our new home and answer any questions you have about ABA therapy.

📍 Now welcoming families at our new Flagstaff location!

Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Kaibab Behavioral Services! ❤️🤍💙

Today, we celebrate freedom, family, and the incredible communities we are honored to serve throughout Northern Arizona.

While the Fourth of July is filled with traditions many families love, we also recognize that fireworks, crowds, loud noises, and changes in routine can be challenging for many children with autism and other developmental differences. Remember—it’s okay to celebrate differently. Whether that means wearing noise-canceling headphones, leaving an event early, watching fireworks from a distance, or creating your own family traditions, your celebration is just as meaningful.

At Kaibab, we believe progress is celebrated, caregivers deserve support, and every child should have the opportunity to experience joy in a way that feels safe and comfortable for them.

Wishing you and your family a safe, peaceful, and memorable Independence Day! 🇺🇸✨

Fireworks are exciting for many families—but for some children with autism, they can be overwhelming.
Loud noises, bright lights, crowded events, and changes to routine can make the Fourth of July feel stressful instead of fun. The good news? A little preparation can go a long way.
Here are a few simple ways to help your child feel more comfortable:🎆 Bring noise-reducing headphones.🧸 Pack favorite comfort items.⏰ Talk through the plan ahead of time.🚗 Give yourself permission to leave early if needed.❤️ Remember that celebrating differently is still celebrating.
Every child experiences the holiday differently, and that’s okay. Success isn’t measured by making it through the entire fireworks show—it’s measured by helping your child feel safe, supported, and confident.

From all of us at Kaibab Behavioral Services, we hope your family has a safe, happy, and enjoyable Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Have you ever wondered why your child’s ABA therapist encourages consistent attendance and enough weekly therapy hours?

It’s not about filling a schedule—it’s about giving your child the opportunity to build, practice, and maintain meaningful skills. Just like learning to read or ride a bike, progress happens through consistency.

When sessions are frequently canceled or therapy hours are significantly reduced, it can become harder for children to retain skills, generalize them to everyday life, and continue making meaningful progress.

Every family’s schedule is different, and we know life happens. Our goal is never perfection—it’s partnership. Together, we can create a plan that gives your child the best opportunity to succeed while working within your family’s unique needs.

✨ Read our latest blog to learn why client availability plays such an important role in successful ABA therapy and what you can do to maximize your child’s progress.

💙 If you’ve ever struggled to balance therapy with real life, you’re not alone. We’d love to hear what’s worked for your family in the comments!

Many parents ask us:
“Does increasing ABA therapy hours actually make a difference?”

The answer is often yes — because children learn best through consistency, repetition, and real-life practice. Just like any new skill, momentum matters.

In our newest blog, we’re breaking down:
• Why consistency in ABA therapy can support faster progress
• How in-home ABA therapy helps skills carry over into daily life
• Why more hours doesn’t mean more pressure
• What families in Flagstaff and Northern Arizona are experiencing firsthand

At Kaibab Behavioral Services, we believe real progress happens in everyday environments — during meals, play, routines, transitions, and connection.
