Today was about more than a team meeting—it was about connection, growth, and choosing how we want to show up for one another and the families we serve. 💙

We celebrated our Q3 progress, strengthened our caregiver-support tools, practiced programs together, and committed to providing consistent, compassionate care in Q4.

When we invest in our team, we strengthen the care we provide. I’m incredibly grateful for the people who continue learning, collaborating, and expanding the reach of compassionate care alongside me.

The answer isn’t that one is automatically better than the other. It’s
about where your child learns best—and where the skills they’re
working on need to happen.

At Kaibab Behavioral Services, we believe ABA should fit into a

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Kaibab Behavioral Services!

Today, we recognize the people whose work makes a difference in the lives of others—and we are especially grateful for our incredible KBS team.

Supporting children and families takes more than knowledge and skill. It takes compassion, patience, flexibility, connection, and a commitment to showing up each day with purpose. 💙

To our BCBAs, RBTs, administrative team, providers, community partners, and the families who allow us to be part of their journey: thank you for the work you do and the difference you make.

We hope today brings an opportunity to rest, recharge, and celebrate the impact of meaningful work.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. 💜
It’s a difficult conversation—but an important one, especially within the autism community.
Research shows that autistic individuals face a significantly higher risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors. And while there isn’t one simple reason why, we know that experiences like bullying, isolation, unmet support needs, masking, and feeling misunderstood can all play a role.
At Kaibab Behavioral Services, we believe behavior is communication.
Sometimes the most important thing we can do is stop asking, “How do we change this behavior?” and start asking, “What is this person trying to tell us?”
💜 Connection before correction.
💜 Communication over compliance.
💜 Teaching children that “no” is okay.
💜 Helping them ask for a break or for help.
💜 Creating spaces where they don’t have to hide who they are.
ABA therapy is not a treatment for suicidality, but compassionate autism support can help children build communication, self-advocacy, independence, and the ability to express when something isn’t right.
