From the office to the ballpark ⚾

Our team recently enjoyed an evening at Yankee Stadium, the kind of night that reinforces the culture we've built together. Between cheering on the Yankees, sharing plenty of laughs, and making memories together, we couldn't have asked for a better night out.

The scoreboard may tell one story, but the best moments came from the conversations, the camaraderie, and yes... a spirited rendition of YMCA that had everyone joining in.

Today, we celebrate the values that have shaped our nation for generations: freedom, opportunity, perseverance, and unity.

As we gather with family, friends, and our communities this Independence Day, we also take a moment to reflect on those who have served and sacrificed to protect the freedoms we enjoy. Their dedication reminds us that lasting legacies are built through courage, commitment, and service to others.

From all of us at Northeast Private Client Group, we wish you and your loved ones a safe, joyful, and meaningful Fourth of July. May your day be filled with celebration, gratitude, and time spent with the people who matter most.

Happy Independence Day!

In our 2026 Halftime Update "What Changed, What Matters, What’s Next?" our Chief Investment Officer, Christopher Pike, CFA®, reviews the first half of 2026 and provides our expectations for the remainder of the year.

🔹The February 28 U.S.–Israeli strike on Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, sent Brent above $100 and gasoline past $4 — and markets shrugged. After a near-10% slide to 6,343 in late March, the S&P 500 recovered to fresh highs above 7,550 before a tech-led June pullback left it near 7,499.

🔹The advance was earnings-driven, not multiple-driven, and leadership broadened: Emerging Markets (+26.9% YTD), Small Caps, and International led, while the Magnificent Seven trailed the equal-weighted S&P 500 by over 14%. Our targets are unchanged — 7,500 base, 8,300 bull, 5,900 bear.

🔹The economy runs on two tracks: wealth-supported spending up top, lower-income households squeezed by negative real wages and a 2.6% savings rate. With unemployment at 4.3% and growth near 2.2%, the backdrop is cooling but
not breaking.

🔹The Iran conflict has settled into stalemate-détente — the June 17 Islamabad MOU ended hostilities and energy prices have retraced (Brent below $75) —though nuclear terms remain unresolved. This may help temper inflation expectations and help support growth and sentiment.

🔹At the Fed, expectations flipped from ~65bp of cuts to priced-in hikes, and new Chair Kevin Warsh's stripped-down, no-guidance debut makes every inflation print a volatility event. We expect the FOMC to keep hikes "live" but hold at 3.50%–3.75% with a hawkish bias.

🔹The AI capex super-cycle — tracking past $800bn in 2026 — remains the market's engine despite renewed bubble questions; we view the pullback as a buying opportunity, timing uncertain.

🔹In fixed income, spreads are tight and income attractive; we favor quality, stay patient on duration, and watch private credit stress closely.

Recently, our Financial Advisors, Kathy Hay and Conner Decker, had the opportunity to connect with a group of women focused on building the retirement they envision for themselves and their families.

Retirement planning is not a one-size-fits-all process. Every individual's goals, priorities, and vision for the future are unique, which is why personalized guidance is so important. Throughout the event, Kathy and Conner engaged in meaningful conversations, answered questions, and shared strategies designed to help attendees navigate their financial futures with greater clarity and confidence.

We are proud to support educational opportunities like these that empower individuals to make informed decisions and take meaningful steps toward their long-term goals.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a thoughtful and engaging discussion.

Great teams aren't built in a day. They're built through shared experiences, meaningful relationships, and the moments in between the work.

Our 2026 Summer BBQ was an opportunity to bring the Northeast team together to relax, connect, and enjoy time with one another outside of the office. From great food and conversation to plenty of laughs, it was a reminder of the culture that continues to make Northeast such a special place.

While we take pride in the work we do, we're equally grateful for the people who make it possible. Events like these reinforce what has always been at the heart of our firm: Family First, People First.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year's Summer BBQ such a memorable celebration.

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures whose guidance, strength, and dedication leave a lasting impact on the lives around them.

Fatherhood is often defined by the quiet moments, the lessons taught, the sacrifices made, the support given, and the example set each day. These contributions may not always seek recognition, but their influence is felt for generations.

At Northeast, we are grateful for the fathers within our firm and throughout our community who lead with integrity, compassion, and commitment both at home and in their professional lives.

Happy Father's Day to all who serve in this important role. Thank you for all that you do.

This week, our CIO, Chris Pike CFA®, shares the firm’s latest insights following a period of tumult, excitement, and uncertainty in this installment of Thinking Out Loud: Everything Looks Different From Space.

🔹Headline volatility defined the week: Markets were pulled between inflation uncertainty, a boxed-in Fed, an ambiguous labor market, Middle East headlines, and the largest IPO in history.

🔹Inflation needs to be monitored: CPI and PPI showed hot headline numbers but cooler core readings. Energy drove much of the upside, while tariffs, AI-related electricity demand, and higher input costs remain potential headwinds for consumers into year-end.

🔹Labor is cooling, not cracking: Jobless claims and continuing claims moved higher, hiring momentum softened, and small-business labor indicators weakened. Wage growth has also slowed, leaving households squeezed by inflation running above 4%.

🔹Tech sold off hard, then snapped back: Large-cap tech and semiconductors saw their sharpest unwind of the AI era before rebounding on headlines around a potential U.S.–Iran deal. The proposed agreement could reopen the Strait of Hormuz and extend the ceasefire, but it remains unfinished and politically fragile.

🔹The Fed and IPO market face major tests: The Fed enters Kevin Warsh’s first FOMC meeting with inflation above 4%, a still-solid labor market, and Fed Fund expectations repricing in real time, all pointing to a likely hawkish hold. At the same time, SpaceX’s record $75 billion IPO tests the market’s ability to absorb a growing wave of new equity supply.
