It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of John’s mother, Barbara Bodnar, who passed away peacefully on Sun. July 26, at the age of 94. Below are a few of our favorite photos of Barbara in the many roles she played throughout her lifetime— a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, and nana who was practically perfect in every way.

Family will be receiving guests on Monday, August 3, from 9:30 to 10:30am at Walter Johnson Funeral Home, 803 Raritan Rd, Clark, NJ 07066. The funeral will also be held Mon. August 3 at 11am at Saint Agnes Church in Clark, NJ. Our office will be closed on that day.

Barbara and her high school sweetheart, John Bodnar Jr., always remained true to Rahway High School. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara can be made to The Butch Kowal Foundation, which is dedicated to providing scholarships to graduating seniors at Rahway High School and neighboring towns, as well as contributing to local charities and organizations aimed at bettering the community.

Our annual Valentine's Day Luncheon was held 2/13/26 at the Park Avenue Club. We had a presentation by a park ranger from Morristown National Historical Park about women's roles during the Revolutionary War with audience participation. A fun time was had by all.
