July is a month that celebrates boldness, and history has shown us time and again that what once seemed impossible can often be the goal or dream most worth pursuing.

It can be easy to look at a big goal and talk yourself out of it before you even begin. The competition feels too steep, the timing feels off, or the path forward feels unclear. But most of the breakthroughs we celebrate today, whether in business, science, or everyday life, started with someone who refused to be stopped by what seemed out of reach.

As we move through this month, we want to hear from you: What is one goal in your business that once felt impossible but you are now ready to pursue? Feel free to share it in the comments. We would love to cheer you on!

Mid-year is a good time to review your financial strategy, especially if you’ve recently experienced a major life event. When income, family structure, taxes, or risk exposure change, your strategy should evolve too.

Here are a few life events that may signal it’s time for a review:

🔵 Career Changes or Income Shifts - Promotions, new roles, or job transitions can alter retirement strategy, benefits, and overall income stability.
🔵 Marriage or Partnership Changes - Combining finances with a spouse or long-term partner affects debt management, retirement strategy, and investing goals.
🔵 Divorce or Separation - Asset division, new housing costs, and changing household income may require adjustments to savings rates, investment risk levels, and long-term retirement timelines.
🔵 Birth or Adoption of a Child - Adding a dependent introduces new long-term expenses and planning considerations.
🔵 Inheritance or Windfall Events - Sudden liquidity can strengthen long-term planning if integrated thoughtfully.
🔵 Home Purchase or Relocation - Housing decisions influence overall liquidity and debt, and often require long-term planning to manage.

Life events often reshape financial reality faster than markets do. If you’d like to discuss how recent life changes may affect your strategy, feel free to reach out. We’re always here to help.

Every June 14th, we celebrate the Stars and Stripes on Flag Day. While we’re all familiar with the United States’ flag, we might not know all of the history behind this symbol.

To celebrate, we wanted to share a few fun facts about the history of the flag that might surprise you:

🔹 The current 50-star design was created by a 17-year-old. Robert G. Heft of Lancaster, Ohio, submitted the design as a high school project in 1958. It was chosen by President Eisenhower out of more than 3,000 submissions in 1960.

🔹 There have been 27 official versions of the flag. Twenty-five of those changes were solely to update the number of stars every time a new state joined the Union. The star additions were admitted on July 4th, and, together, they give us a rich visual history of the country's growth over time.

🔹 The colors for the flag have taken on their own meanings over the years. Charles Thomson, secretary of the Continental Congress in 1774, suggested that red represents hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue stands for vigilance, perseverance, and justice.

🔹 Six American flags have been planted on the moon. Neil Armstrong and Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin were the first, but five additional Apollo missions have also left a flag on the lunar surface.

🔹 The current design is the longest-running version in history. No new states have been added since Hawaii joined the union in 1959, making this the most enduring flag design the country has ever had.

Wishing you a wonderful Flag Day filled with pride and appreciation for the history behind the flag we share.

June marks a natural checkpoint in the year, especially for business owners and entrepreneurs who start the year with big goals and strong momentum.

By now, some plans may be moving forward, while others might still be waiting for the right time, the right resources, or the perfect strategy. Progress in business rarely begins with perfect conditions. More often, it starts with simply taking the next step with what is already available.

Whether you are building a new venture, growing your client base, refining your services, or pursuing a goal that has been sitting on your list since January, forward motion matters more than perfection.

As we move through the rest of the month, take a moment to reflect: What is one business goal or challenge you could move forward with today, even with imperfect conditions? Feel free to share it in the comments. We would love to hear what you’re pursuing in the second half of the year.

When the U.S. Mint halted new penny production in late 2025, many business owners and consumers are evaluating what this change means for day-to-day transactions. As the supply of pennies gradually declines, the shift toward rounding cash payments to the nearest nickel is expected to become standard practice. Swipe to learn more.

As payment practices continue to evolve, staying informed matters. If you have questions about how this shift may affect your budgeting, tax reporting, or business operations, contact us for guidance.
