Good evening! We are in the final days, I am getting through everyone that dropped off before April 2nd. We will be calling people as I get them done. Good Morning, just wanted to give everyone a heads up : unfortunately one of the items in the letter this year is incorrect:
The item for the State of Wisconsin that the personal exemption went up from $700 to $1200 is Incorrect!!! They did not end up passing that in the budget process. I apologize for the inaccurate information.

Good morning - this goes out to all my clients that work for Quad graphics. We just received a letter from Quad, with Kurt's Overtime that we can use on our taxes. The letter states that this amount will NOT be on your W2! Greaaat! So if you work at Quad and had overtime make sure you keep the letter and bring it with you when you bring in your taxes!

Hello all! Just a couple of things, first of all probably will wait till early January to send letter out. The IRS still has not finalized rules on some of the new tax law. Second and more important, I read an article today about the Treasury Secretary stating that people would be getting $2000 more in tax refunds, and should change withholding to have bigger paychecks. First of all every person's tax situation is different. As alot of you have found out in the past 4 years the withholding has been lowered and many people have not had enough being withheld on their taxes and ended up owing! Please do not expect higher refunds, and do not lower your withholding. At least until we do your taxes and see how it all works out. The no tax on overtime is only on the premium part, so for example if you are normally paid $20 and hour and on OT you receive $30, the part that will not be taxable is the $10 extra per hour. Okay sorry for the long winded message, but I just want everyone to understand what is truly going on.

2nd Tax Deadline is complete! Thank you all again for being my customers, very much appreciate you. I will be unavailable for the next few days, have a family wedding this weekend. I will be reaching out as always in December, and hopefully we will have some clarity on how next tax season will go. But, with the shutdown I have a feeling it is going to be rocky! Enjoy fall!

Heads up to anyone that is doing a tax return with an extension. Just found out that during the shutdown the IRS is not going to be sending out refunds, or taking phone calls. They are only going to be doing what they state are "necessary for to keep things running". So, if you are waiting for something from them, letter/response, refund, it will be awhile. But of course if you owe you still have to pay by the 15th of October!!!

Okay everyone just found out that the IRS may delay the start of filing season for taxes next year til February 16th, which could mean a delay of refunds till March 1st! Plan accordingly!
