Happy Friday good people. Today, I’d like to share some information that will be important to some, not so much to others.

The economy is strong right now. This means that financial institutions(primarily online lenders)are foaming at the mouth trying to loan money out. This is important for small business owners/entrepreneurs and also individuals.

If you are a small business owner with your business in order(EFIN, Business bank statements) and need financing, now is the time. Don’t use major financial institutions like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc..., they are still doing things the old archaic way. Try online institutions such as Funding Source, Business Lending Club, Kabbage.

If you are an individual with more than one credit card now would be a good time to get a personal loan consolidating all your cards into one payment and save you lots of $$$$. Again, don’t go to your bank unless you bank with a local community bank. Instead, go the online route with lenders such as Lending Club, Prosper, Sofi. In most cases if you have pay stubs they can work it out.

Happy New Year! We are now open for filing.
Things to know:
1. The filing season begins Jan. 29th, but you can come and get started now.
2. The Path Act is still in full effect, this means that taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Tax CREDIT(EITC), Child Tax Credit(CTC), or Additional Child Tax Credit(ACTC) the IRS will not be releasing these returns until Feb. 15th. Same as last year.

Happy New Year! We are now open for tax preparation. A couple things about this years tax season:
1) The IRS starts accepting returns on Jan. 23rd. Although you can start filing now.

2) If you claim the Earned Income Tax credit(EITC), Child Tax Credit(CTC), Additional Child Tax Credit(ACTC), or American Opportunity Tax Credit(AOTC) for people in college, your refund will be held until Feb 15th due to new legislation that was passed (Path Act)
