Turn Tax Savings Into Retirement Savings

This month we are making sure all our clients know about the great tax savings that are available by funding a retirement plan.

Retirement plans are one of the best tax saving strategies because they can reduce your taxable income while allowing you to keep the money for your future self. There are plans available for payroll and non-payroll clients alike. If you would like to create a new retirement account or modify your current retirement plan, please let your Account Manager know as soon as possible. If you are not currently investing in your retirement, we recommend starting today – your future self will thank you!

As a reminder, retirement contributions can be made for any person who has earned income regardless of their age, so you may also be able to start a retirement plan for your kids early. Roth plans are generally a smarter investment for younger people, which are not a current year tax savings but do allow your retirement plans to grow tax free until retirement. Roth plans could also be another way to set aside for your kids' education expenses, as they have exceptions to allow withdrawals for college, first-time home purchases, and birth/adoption expenses.
