I am beyond honored and incredibly excited to share that Keep Smart Books has been named a BBB Torch Award for Ethics winner!

This recognition means so much to us because it reflects the heart behind everything we do - leading with integrity, building a strong and supportive culture, and showing up for our clients and community in meaningful ways.

What started with a used desk and a laptop as a single-mom has grown into something far bigger than I ever imagined. Keep Smart Books was built on the belief that people come first, that doing the right thing matters, and that businesses can truly make a positive impact when they operate with honesty and care.

This award belongs to our amazing team who live out these values every single day, our clients who trust us with their businesses, and our community who continues to support and believe in what we’re building. 💛

“Today, the 13th anniversary of Keep Smart Books quietly snuck up on me - and it’s had me reflecting a lot this morning.

While the business itself is 13 years old, my heart has been in small business for much longer. Since I was 16, I’ve had the privilege of watching businesses grow from the ground up - seeing firsthand the grit, passion, and dedication it takes to build something meaningful. Those early experiences shaped not only my work ethic, but also the kind of business owner I hoped to become one day. Looking back, I can see God's hand in those moments - guiding, preparing, and planting seeds long before I fully understood the path ahead.

At the same time, my love for accounting and numbers has been a constant thread throughout my life. I genuinely enjoy the story that financials tell and the clarity they can bring. Being able to combine that passion with my love for small business through Keep Smart Books has been an incredible gift -one I don’t take for granted.

I’m also deeply grateful for every team member who has been part of this journey. Whether you have been with us for years or just a season, you’ve played a meaningful role in serving our clients and shaping me as a leader. This business is stronger because of each of you.

I know the whole team would join me in thanking every client who is and has been a part of our journey. Our mission is to serve you through Excellence, Integrity and Teamwork. We thank you for the trust you've placed in us. We will continue to work hard to find ways to serve you well.
