Anyone out there ever mess up a date, totally miss an appointment or forget to pick up the kids? Survival without a calendar app was just life 'back in the day' but man do I love my family calendar app (I would tell you which one but my post would probably get rejected for promoting a product)! Reminders for Karate practice, dinner at Aunt Wendy's or recycle night allow me to put my head down and get stuff done and still keep me on top of all the things. I just gotta remember to put in the reminders!

And the winner is....my 7 year old! We've started a weigh-the-halloween-bucket annual competition between the girls and it's funny to see how different their individual motivations are. This year Brynlee was locked and loaded with a plan on how to hit the most houses and bring home the most loot. Lively...at 4 years old had more fun taking golf cart rides through the streets and her poor little bucket showed. But, she didn't care, she got what was most fun to her and Brynlee on the other spectrum did too. Throughout my years in this business I've learned not to focus my motivations and values onto clients but to learn and listen and really find out what the #1's for each individual are. Whether you want to have a giant bucket of chocolate (or dollars) at the end of life or leisurely golf-cart cruises and less candy along the way, I am blessed to help learn and navigate all the different paths!

Four for Friday:

1. Pumpkin Krispies
2. Runner up
3. Oreo Spider Balls (SOOOO good)
4. WINNER! (don't worry, 3.1 LBS of candy gets handed out ration-style)

I heart Nurses! And I am so glad that I'm not one because I don't have the stomach for it. I saw some nurses perform some ooey-gooey feats this week that I could only fathom handling with my kids. But they did it on my husband...Y'all deserve hero capes. Bless you for your strong constitutions and you deserve all the hugs and high fives you can handle!

Four 4 Friday:

1. Kids+Knives (responsible parenting at its finest)
2. Exhaustion (my joints hurt just looking...)
3. Spider Babies

Health insurance is such a privilege to have and even healthcare in general. I'm so used to modern day medicine that I forget how wild it is that I can have a heart scan to check for plaque, meds to treat a cold and IVF to give me my most precious girls. WOW. Medicare season, group benefit enrollment time might be hectic, and there are a lot of choices, pros and cons to them all but how blessed are we to have options? Double check your coverage and make sure to get your annual physicals!

Four for Friday:

1. 'To Marry you With Momma"
2. Ummmm ?? (I just birthed her and don't claim to understand her!)
3. Mr Fix it (Busted pipes no more)
4. Snacks

Health Insurance, is issued by unaffiliated insurers and sold through Prudential Insurance Agency, LLC (PIA). Availability of health insurance varies by carrier and state.

I am woman, hear me roar! I had the honor of attending a female advisor conference this week and am feeling like I can take on the world. No offense to the dudes out there, but we gals are uniquely gifted and it is extra special when we come together to lift each other up, share our successes, weaknesses, ideas and give our fellow sisters the permission to NOT have it all together. There's really no such thing as being able to do it all or have work/life balance. We're always leaning heavy one way or another. And it feels SO good to let that out. I'm grateful for those girls, they are amazing and I am blessed to know them. Ladies: Know your Value...and add Tax!

Four for Friday:

1. Field Trip chaperoning
2. Mardi Gras? (I have no idea)
3. Kermit

My favorite fair as a kid was the Bluffton Street Fair. It was really the only one I went to and I thought all the food trucks & rides & carnies came to Bluffton for that weekend only. Not till I was an adult and went to the street fair one weekend and then the Dekalb County Free Fall Fair (my new fav) and saw the same food trucks & rides & carnies did I realize the 'fair' was a traveling one of the same folks. Though my bubble was burst, it was still so much fun to go to Auburn last night watch horse pulls, pet rabbits. listen to live music, ride a spinning thing with my kid till I about puked and eat some meat on a stick. Lots of fair left - go get yourself an elephant ear!

Four for Friday:

1. Hoooold My Hand (hum to Hootie & the Blosfish for a throwback earworm)
2. Tomatoes! (God bless my green thumb clients sharing their bounty)
3. Tacos
4. Bring-Your-Kittens-To-Work day

Growing up as a kid in the country 'neighbor' meant my aunt almost a mile down the road. Now that I live in town I've had some years to experience what it's like to have folks next door and down the street. I am grateful to say that I have wonderful neighbors. My girls can play with their kids, they cruise through on golf carts and give us a ride or stop for a chat, feed my kitties when we're gone and work hard to keep our community beautiful, connected, kept kept and safe. So I leave you with the words of Mr Rogers:
"It's a beautiful day in the this neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor"

Four for Friday:

1. Feathered Fairies (migrators are still here, keep up the feeders!)
2. Too many Capri Suns?
3. Pumpkin. Spice. Everything.
4. Painters Tape Prison

Car shopping. I am SO glad that I generally drive my vehicles till the wheels fall so that car shopping is rarely on my to do list. But, I'll go to a dealership with friends & clients and get all mama-bear on questionable salespeople in search of their next tide. When I went this week to help a dear friend, we were talked down to and treated like 'little women'. So disrespectful. I also had a teammate at Pru go over and above for a client, in a total juxtaposition of my recent experience. Speak up -nicely- (which I did) if you are getting crummy treatment, maybe they'll do better next time. And let the ones that take care of you know they've done a great job to encourage them to keep up the good work.

I'm thankful this week that there are still folks out there in the service & sales industry that will go that extra mile and do the right thing. Be one!

Four for Friday:

1. Bounty - the Quicker Picker Upper (add scotch tape=band-aid substitute)
2. Thumbs Up (New flavors+pretty packaging get me everytime)
3. Built Ford Tough
4. Date night

I think I've mentioned that I love seasons, even the (IMO) icky Indiana spring, because I get something new to experience every 3 months or so. In order to appreciate the good (FALL!) it needs context of negative 5 windchill in January. Such is most aspects of life. A change up may be uncomfortable but it's a great opportunity for growth, new perspective, opportunity and appreciation. God keeps sending curve balls, making me grow and prepared for the next season and for that (and Him providing tools), I am thankful. So, while not having toilets in office for a week was a pain, the new floors are really pretty :) Get out there and grow!

Four for Friday:

1. Sleeping on the job
2. Brain surgery 4 year old style?
3. Let it begin!
4. X###xxtra (Warning: only attempt with a cold beverage in reach)
