Tax Associate Position Opening!

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on tax compliance and reporting. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure accurate tax filings and providing valuable insights on tax-related matters. The Tax Associate will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' financial health while adhering to all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Conduct thorough account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Utilize accounting software, including QBO, for efficient data management and reporting.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide guidance on tax-related inquiries.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, particularly those related to securities law.
Support financial sales initiatives by providing tax-related insights that benefit client decision-making.
Maintain organized records of all tax-related documents and correspondence.
Qualifications

Experience in public accounting or a tax preparation is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation.
Proficiency in accounting software applications; familiarity with QBO is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

📢 Client Capacity Update

We have hit a soft cap.

As many of you already know, we schedule our work. Our spring is entirely booked with our existing clients.

We have around 9 extension appointmenrs available for summer/fall prep.

An extension appointment is simply an initial onboarding screening and we will file your extension during that appointment.

Our early preppers have already been informed of prep dates. We are readjusting the schedule slightly for the most part-your dates will be in the same window as last year. You will be getting engagement letters soon. Please sign and return. If you haven't gotten an engagement letter by 2/9, reach out.

If you have transitioned from the firm, or planning to for any reason, please let us know so that we can reassign that spot. People transition for many different reasons, and it's okay-just please keep us informed.
