page — we want to encourage communication between yourself and our tax experts at our firm. We may not respond to every comment, particularly those that may impact patient confidentiality or privacy. We expect a basic level of civility; disagreements are fine, but mutual respect is a must, and posts with profanity or abusive language will be removed from our page, along with posts that are off-topic, solicitations, HR matters, or posts clearly promoting a commercial product generally won’t last long. Someone’s gotta keep the lights on.

Someone’s gotta keep the books balanced.

And someone’s gotta gently remind you that “I’ll deal with it at tax time” is not, in fact, a financial strategy.

We’re happy to be that someone. 😉

Today is for the dogs. 🐶

We have several office pups that occasionally make an appearance here on our socials. Given the joy they bring to us, and their hard work in the office of course 😂, we’d be remiss not to celebrate them.

Give your best friend an extra treat today. 🦴

We gathered the most important updates from the OBBB into one simple, easy-to-follow guide, so you can spend less time decoding legislation and more time understanding what actually matters for you, your family, or your business.

The guide is completely free, ready to download, and doesn't ask for your email or any personal information.

We have the privilege of seeing this dedication firsthand through the nonprofit organizations we serve. We see the care they put into stewarding their resources, and the incredible impact they create with them.

That’s why National Nonprofit Day means so much to us.

If you want to celebrate on August 17, you can:

Donate to a nonprofit you believe in
Volunteer your time or expertise
Share a nonprofit’s mission with your network
Support a fundraiser, event, or program

To every nonprofit, leader, employee, volunteer, donor, and advocate doing the work: thank you for making our communities stronger.

Happy 💙

If you’re planning to make a charitable gift this year, keep reading.

The tax rules have changed in 2026, and the best way to give may look different than it did before.

Our latest article breaks down the changes and the planning considerations worth knowing before you make your next gift.

Read Mureed Hussain, CPA, Tax Director’s, “Maximizing Your Generosity: Navigating the 2026 Charitable Tax Rules” on the blog.

Kinda chic to still believe that some things are worth keeping.

-Like independence.
-Like knowing your clients by name, not by account number.
-Like investing in people for the long haul.
-Like building relationships that outlast a business cycle.

For more than 60 years, we’ve had the privilege of doing business our way: thoughtfully, independently, and with a genuine commitment to the clients, people, and communities we serve.

While the world of accounting has changed a lot in six decades, one thing hasn’t:

We still believe the best way to build a great firm is to focus on doing great work for great people.

And honestly?
That feels pretty chic to us.

Question of the Week 💭

Whether you lead a nonprofit, a business, a department, or a team, leadership looks different for everyone.

What’s the one quality or mindset you believe makes the biggest difference?

There’s no right answer, we’d love to hear your perspective.

As summer winds down, a new school year is just around the corner. For many families, that means making sure every student has the supplies they need to start the year with confidence.

We were grateful for the opportunity to spend the day alongside United Way, helping with their Stuff the Bus initiative by unloading, sorting, organizing, and preparing school supplies for local students.

We’re thankful to be part of a community that comes together to help students walk into the new school year ready to learn.

A special thank-you to the members of our team who spent the day volunteering. Your willingness to give your time and energy reflects the spirit of service that defines our team.

Thank you, United Way, for this important effort, and to everyone who helped Stuff the Bus.
