Money isn’t just about dollars and cents.
It’s about safety.
It’s about confidence.
It’s about freedom.

And for many people, it’s also connected to pain, fear, and experiences they rarely talk about.

I’m honored to be the guest speaker (hosted by: One Choice Financial Wellness) for this week’s Money Mindset Monday, where I’ll be sharing a topic that is incredibly personal to me:

This isn’t just another conversation about budgeting or saving money.

This is about healing.

For the first time in a public setting, I’ll be sharing parts of my own story—growing up with money beliefs that shaped how I viewed finances and later being in a marriage where financial control became part of the relationship. Looking back, I now recognize many of those experiences as financial abuse. That journey has deeply influenced both my personal life and the way I serve my clients through Magnolia Bookkeeping & Notary.

💚 The warning signs of financial control and
💚 Practical ways to protect yourself and your family

🇺🇸 Happy … and Happy Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Today, I’m choosing to celebrate something that is bigger than politics.

❤️Not a political party.
🤍Not an election.
💙Not the headlines.

Today, I celebrate the incredible privilege of being an American.

I’m proud to live in a country where I have the to speak my mind, the right to vote, the opportunity to build a business, worship (or not worship) as I choose, and chase dreams that once seemed impossible.

As a woman, I don’t take those freedoms for granted. Around the world, there are still women who cannot vote, own property, start a business, receive an education, or make decisions about their own lives without permission. That perspective reminds me just how much we have to be thankful for.

Is perfect? No. No nation is.

But the ideals this country was founded upon; the pursuit of liberty, opportunity, and the belief that our voices matter, are worth celebrating and protecting.

This Independence Day feels even more meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Two hundred and fifty years of history, resilience, innovation, sacrifice, and people from every walk of life working to build something better for future generations.

Today, I hope we can pause, set aside the labels that divide us, and remember what unites us.

❤️ May we be grateful.
🤍 May we be respectful.
💙 May we never take our freedoms for granted.
