Compt started as a group of two individuals bootstrapping their business from a bedroom. Unlike most people, this team of two loved doing paperwork and had a mutual interest in technology. As aspiring entrepreneurs they found their skill was able to eliminate the problem of depending on physical records which would often lead to errors.

As a result of this epiphany, Compt was established in 2010 as a startup with no clear direction but a strong motivation and astute dedication towards providing businesses with top-notch financial services. It was a market that was relatively untapped and the founding team felt like they could cash in.

By 2011, it was still hard to find a place in the industry, where a lack of trust in out-sourced finance teams became a barrier that was hard to conquer. What we realized was that although the business was coming, we had to take the extra-step as a business to gain market trust. In 2012, we started expanding as businesses became warmer to the idea of outsourcing financial services so that they can focus on growth and Compt began to grow with those businesses.

But this wasn’t enough for the team. As our business grew, so did our team with Compt housing over 70 professionals working in-house to provide businesses their service and expertise by 2014. This growth marked the 200,000 satisfied clients milestone we had set and we were ready for the next step.
