Good morning, and Happy(?) Tax Day. Here are three goofy tax facts to drop in any conversation today:
π’ In ancient Rome, Emperor Vespasian imposed a tax on the urine collected from public urinals, which was used in wool production.
π’ From 1784 to 1811, the British government levied a tax on menβs hats. The more hats you owned, the more taxes you paid. (This is not a joke.) Pharrell Williams would owe a lot.
π’ In Germany today, most municipalities charge a dog tax to encourage responsible pet ownership, which they might want to consider doing in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
