Sofos Financial Partners

Sofos Financial Partners Life Happens. Plans Change. We're Here to Help. I’m often asked what led me to become a financial planner. That moment never left me. Life happens. Plans change.

The answer begins not with numbers, but with a girl named Lacey. At just 16, Lacey had lost both of her parents—her father to a sudden heart attack, and her mother, unexpectedly, in her sleep. I had been her mother’s accountant, which meant that soon after the funeral, I was the one sitting across the table from Lacey, surrounded by legal documents and financial statements. I knew how to organize

the paperwork—but what she really needed was someone who had helped her parents prepare for the unimaginable. It was the day I realized I wanted to do more than look back at what had already happened I wanted to help people look forward. To be the one who brings clarity in the midst of chaos. That realization is what inspired me to become a Certified Financial Planner and, eventually, to launch my own firm: Sofos Financial Partners. At Sofos, we help people take control of their financial lives—whether that means building wealth, navigating transitions, or simply making sure their family is protected no matter what. We strip away the jargon, help you understand your options, and create a strategy that evolves as life does. Because to me, financial planning isn’t just about spreadsheets. It’s about making sure no one sits at that table unprepared again. We're here to help.

One of my favorite parts of this job isn't talking about investments.

It's watching someone walk out feeling lighter than when they walked in.

A financial plan doesn't remove every uncertainty, but it gives you a roadmap and the confidence to move forward, even when life changes.

Life happens. Plans change. We're here to help.

What does wealth mean to you?

For some, it's retiring with confidence. For others, it's traveling more, helping family, giving back, or simply having peace of mind.

It looks different for everyone.

But I've found one common thread:

Wealth is freedom.

The freedom to make choices that align with what matters most.

There have been quite a few new faces here lately, so I thought it was time to say hello.

I'm Jennifer, founder of Sofos Financial Partners. I started this firm because I believe financial planning should be personal, practical, and centered around helping people through life's biggest transitions.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband Matt and our Goldendoodle, Oakley, planning our next adventure, or enjoying a good book with my book club.

Thanks for following along. I'm grateful you're here.

Not every month in the market is filled with fireworks and that's okay.

In this month's market update, I explain what happened in June, what's driving the markets, and why staying focused on the long term still matters.

There isn't a magic number when it comes to cash.

The right amount depends on your emergency fund, your goals, and when you'll need the money.

Some dollars are meant to stay in cash.

Some dollars are meant to grow.

Because the right amount of cash isn't the same for everyone.

06/18/2026

Your cash account might be costing you more than you think.

Cash is important.
Too much cash can be expensive.

Inflation. Missed opportunities. Delayed decisions.

The goal isn't to invest every dollar.

It's to make sure every dollar has a purpose.

As we reach the halfway point of the year, it's a good reminder that financial planning isn't something you do once and put away.

Life changes. Priorities shift. Goals evolve.

A mid-year check-in can help make sure your plan still supports where you're headed.
