Have you ever had one of those days where everything just clicks?
You sit down to work.
The ideas come.
Time disappears.
You actually enjoy what you’re doing.
And then there are the days where you check your email 12 times, reorganize your desktop, wander into the kitchen for a snack, and wonder why you can’t seem to focus. 😅
I used to think those were just “unproductive” days.
But after talking with Laurie Smith, author of The Flow Habit, on the podcast this week, I’m seeing them differently.
She shared something I can’t stop thinking about:
“We’re all flow experts. We just need to remember how flow shows up for us.”
As business owners, we’re so focused on being productive (at least I am) that we forget to pay attention to what naturally gives us energy.
What if getting unstuck isn’t about pushing harder?
What if it’s about reconnecting with the things that bring you joy?
Maybe that’s gardening.
Maybe it’s doodling.
Maybe it’s organizing a space.
Maybe it’s knitting, baking, walking, or sitting outside with your morning coffee.
This week, I want to challenge you to spend just 5 minutes doing something that lights you up.
Not because it’s productive or because it’ll grow your business.
Simply because it brings you joy. ❤️
Then notice how you feel when you come back to your work.
✨ I’d love to know…what’s one activity that helps you lose track of time?
Tell me in the comments!
And if you want to hear my full conversation with Laurie Smith about The Flow Habit, it’s the newest episode of The Organized Coach Podcast. I think you’re going to love this one.
