Today, the Lockshield team took a deep dive into the 2026 tax season, discussing what went well, identifying opportunities for improvement, and setting goals to create even greater efficiencies for our clients and staff next year. We believe that continuous improvement is what allows us to serve our clients at the highest level, and these conversations are an important part of that process.

We enjoyed an amazing Italian lunch at Napoli’s of Glasgow before heading to Cave City for a little team adventure. We spent time shopping at The Market KY and wrapped up the day by putting our problem-solving skills to the test at The Final Chapter escape room at Raven’s Cross.

Please note that our office will be closed Friday, May 29, for a Strategic Planning Meeting.

This time allows our team to step away from the day-to-day operations to focus on strengthening our processes, preparing for the remainder of the year, and proactively planning for the upcoming tax season so we can continue serving our clients well.

We are incredibly proud to share that Drew Thompson was recently named the 2025 C12 Member of the Year.

C12 has been such an important part of Drew’s leadership journey and the way we continue to grow and structure Lockshield Partners Accounting Services. Having the opportunity to sit around the table with other Christian business owners, learn from their experiences, seek wisdom, and openly discuss both the challenges and responsibilities of leading a business with faith at the center has been invaluable.

Drew is truly honored to receive this recognition and humbled to have been chosen by a group of peers and mentors he deeply respects.

Our very own accounting intern, Caleb Reece, recently placed 1st in Accounting at the State FBLA Competition.

We are proud to play a small part in developing the next generation of business professionals. Caleb has spent time in our office learning real-world skills, and it’s exciting to see that experience translate into success at such a high level.

Next stop: FBLA Nationals in San Antonio this June! ✈️
