We all have a few financial skeletons. The question is... will you bring them out, dust them off, and make a plan?

Consider clearing out what’s lurking in the closet, before it comes back to haunt your future.

An inheritance.
Selling a business.
A major liquidity event.

It’s exciting, and overwhelming, all at once.

The instinct is to act quickly. But the best first step is to give yourself space to process what’s changed, before making big financial moves.

Sudden money changes your options. A thoughtful plan helps make sure it changes your future for the better.

A strong investment strategy doesn’t try to predict every market move. It’s built with the expectation that there will be up cycles, downturns, and everything in between.

It considers your time horizon, your goals, your tolerance for volatility, and stays aligned with those, even when the headlines feel uncertain.

If your portfolio only feels right when everything’s calm, it might not be built for the long term.

If it still makes sense when things feel uncertain, that’s a sign of smart planning.

Make "giving" a year-round, family commitment, regardless of the amounts involved.

Ask your children which causes matter to them and let them help shape the philanthropic decisions you're making.

These are lessons that last a lifetime.

Life doesn’t always give you a heads-up.

An emergency fund turns “oh no” moments, like a medical bill, or job change, into “I’ve got this” moments.

Meet Matt Logan, CFP®, AIF®

Matt has a strong sense of pride in his home city of Greensboro. He moved here at the age of 5 and has called Greensboro home since.

His father’s career with Time Warner took Matt to Budapest, Hungary for middle school and Tokyo, Japan to finish out high school. While these experiences opened his eyes to different cultures and how world currencies and markets interact, he has always found Greensboro to be his home base.

After graduating from the American School in Japan in 1997, Matt returned stateside to attend college. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Economics.

During college, Matt focused on becoming a financial planner and working to help people navigate the financial markets to better their financial futures. He interned at JC Bradford and UBS Painewebber during this time.
