Meet Frankie and Mia — our Park Avenue Pets of the Month for October! 🍂🐾 These two belong to Craig and Sarah Calabrese, Lisa’s brother and sister-in-law.

Frankie, a 9-year-old Pomsky, is a Husky mastermind in a Pomeranian-sized business model. He’s just wrapping up another successful harvest season — he spends his summers farming the garden for vegetables — and he’s built a network of neighborhood delivery drivers who stop by just to visit him. He’s always working an angle.

Mia, an 8-year-old Mini Aussie, is the self-appointed manager of absolutely everything. If it moves, she herds it (falling leaves included) — and her preferred distance from her people is approximately zero inches.

Frankie runs strategy and community relations. Mia runs operations and personnel. Craig and Sarah just pay the bills. 😂

We love the families — and the fur babies — that make up the Park Avenue Wealth Management community! 🐾

The more you've built, the more moving pieces there are to manage — multiple accounts, tax considerations, retirement income, Social Security timing, and what you'll eventually pass on. On their own, each decision can seem simple. Together, they need a plan that keeps them all working in the same direction. That's where having someone in your corner who knows the details — and knows you — comes in. If it's been a while since you and Lisa reviewed the full picture, October is the perfect time for a check-in.

Retire early. Pay off the house. Help the kids (or grandkids) with college. Travel. Big goals are easy to name — the hard part is turning them into a plan with real timelines and real numbers. A solid plan usually works on three at once: this year, the next 5–10 years, and retirement and beyond. It's easy to focus on one and lose sight of the others. This month, take one goal off your someday list and put a date on it — then let's talk about which timeline needs the most attention.

Stocks finished the third quarter mixed. The S&P 500 gained 2.03%, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 2.47%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 2.70%. Halloween is next on the calendar, with U.S. consumers expected to spend \$13.5 billion USD this year and 6.26 million Canadian children in their trick-or-treating years.

Stocks were mixed in the third quarter as economic, geopolitical, and corporate earnings news pushed the broad market higher while weighing on the Dow Industrials.
