How much are your kiddos worth when it comes to tax time? 👧🧒 The Child Tax Credit for qualifying dependents up to $2,200, an increase of $200 from last year. Which may not offset from all of the poopy diapers they had you clean when they were babies, but it’s at least something!

This credit doesn’t matter if you don’t file though! And you’ve only got 33 more days of Tax Season to make that happen. So contact us today!

If you haven’t contacted us to do your taxes this year, IT’S NOT TOO LATE! We’re still taking in work for returning and new clients even though we've taken down our online scheduler! 📆 But we are at the point where extensions will start to be needing filed, depending on when we get all final documents! There’s 3 ways to get started on your taxes with us…

1. Contact us to get an invite to our online portal and upload source documents that way. (Best for those who are comfortable using online portals/technology in general.)
2. Drop off documents through our mail slot 24/7. (Best for previous clients without questions prior to preparation)
3. Contact us to schedule an in-person consultation meeting. (Best for previous clients with specific questions about their tax situations.)

Either way you decide we cannot begin preparing your return until ALL SOURCE DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. Should there be missing documents after the initial drop off, an extension will likely need to be filed. Tax Returns will be prepared in the order we receive complete, finalized files.

Only 34 days left until Tax Day, everyone! Peak season is officially HERE! 🤓

Please, please, PLEASE review your paperwork before bringing it in to be dropped off‼️ What do we mean by that?

- Make sure you’ve got W-2s from ALL jobs your worked in 2025.
- Compare W2 amounts to final paystubs for payroll errors.
- Review final paystubs for any reported overtime or tips for the year.
- Use our Tax Appointment Checklist to make sure no documents are missing.

Not only will this get you your return faster, it’ll keep us from pulling our own hair out. Which is beneficial for everyone involved! (Only 36 more days until Tax Season is OVER!)

The end of the regular tax filing season will be here before you know it, so here’s some important dates for you to remember! 📆

March 14th - Last day for new clients to drop off tax documents without filing an extension.

March 31st - Last day for current clients to drop off tax documents without filing an extension.

April 15th - TCB Office doors close to allow us to take a break and recharge (That’s only 37 days away‼️)

May 4th - TCB Office Doors re-open for tax preparation.

We’re almost halfway through Season, but that doesn’t mean our doors are closed to new Tax Clients! We will be happy to assist new clients until March 15th for regular Tax Season Filings. Any new referrals/new clients we meet after that will need to have an extension filed so we can help them in May when we return to the office. 🤝

Don't forget that we're giving you $20 for each qualified referral you send our way! So take advantage of it while you can. Only 42 more days until Tax Day!!

When do you ACTUALLY need a CPA to help you out? What a great question for this week’s Free Sh*t Friday! 🆓

Reality is, most taxpayers will never need a majority of the services a CPA offers. Not because of anything negative, CPAs are just specialized in accounting practices meant for public companies. (Hence the ‘P’ in CPA.)

But when you look at the overall duties of a tax shop like TCB and the average CPA, you see that there’s a lot more overlap than one may initially guess.
