🚨 Tax Season Update 🚨

As we head into the busiest stretch of tax season, I want to share a quick update.
At this point, I am no longer accepting new tax clients for the remainder of this season so I can continue giving my current clients the time and attention they deserve.

That said, I don’t want to leave anyone hanging. I’ve connected with a great local CPA who recently opened his own firm, and I feel confident referring new inquiries his way. If you’re still looking for help this tax season, I highly recommend checking him out.

‼️Tax Season Update ‼️

I truly appreciate the continued referrals and inquiries I’ve been receiving. It means more than you know!

At this point in tax season, I need to prioritize my existing clients to ensure their returns are prepared accurately, timely, and with the level of care they expect and deserve. While I can handle more work overall, onboarding new clients takes additional time to properly learn their situation, and I don’t want that to negatively impact anyone during peak season.

Because of that, I won’t be taking on new clients for immediate filing this tax season.

That said, I do want to help. For new clients who would still like to work together, I can:
• Get you set up
• File an extension right away
• And move forward with preparation as soon as time opens up

An extension does *not* mean waiting until October. It simply allows me to do the work properly without compromising quality for anyone.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but putting “income” on a Schedule C just to funnel it to your kid is tax evasion 🚨

That said—there are legal ways to hire your child, and even situations where paying them through a spouse’s business is allowed. But here’s the catch:
✔️ The spouse must operate a legitimate business with real clients, records, and bank accounts
✔️ The child must be put on payroll and issued a W-2
✔️ Payroll taxes must be handled correctly (unless exempt under the parent/child rules for sole props)

🚨 Big news for service-based businesses!

The OBBB didn’t just stop at eliminating federal income tax on tips and overtime… it also expanded the payroll tax credit on tips beyond restaurants and bars. 🎉

That means salons, spas, hotels, delivery services, and more can now benefit from a tax credit that used to be reserved mostly for the food & beverage industry.

👉 Bottom line: more industries qualify, more businesses save, and more employees take home what they earn.
