🚨 REFUND UPDATE 🚨

Let’s reset the conversation because the inbox is flooded.
If your transcript shows a Direct Deposit Date of 2/23, 2/24, or 2/25 that is your official release date.

2/23-3/9 (DDD) Funds Release 2/23
2/24-3/9 (DDD) Funds Release 2/24
2/25-3/9 (DDD) Funds Release 2/25
2/26-3/9 (DDD) Funds Release 2/26

👉🏽 The date on YOUR transcript.

If you do NOT use an early funding bank (Chime, Cash App, Credit Karma, etc.), your refund posts on your scheduled DDD. Period.
Some banks release funds early that is a courtesy from the bank, not the IRS.

Now let’s address the other situation.
If your DDD has passed and there is no deposit…
There is a strong possibility your refund was offset.

That happens when there is an outstanding obligation such as:
• Federal tax debt
• State tax debt
• Child support
• Defaulted student loans
• Other government liabilities

The IRS does not warn you in advance. The funds are taken automatically.

Before assuming something is wrong with your preparer or the IRS system:
1️⃣ Check your tax transcript
2️⃣ Call the Treasury Offset Program

They will tell you immediately if funds were intercepted and by which agency.

Check the transcript.
Make the call.
Handle it accordingly.
