📢 Part-Time Accounting Associate

Dahl, Hatton, Muir & Reese Ltd is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Associate to support our expanding practice.

🕒 Hours: 15–25 per week
💵 Compensation: $20–$27 per hour, depending on experience
📍 Location: Hallock, MN (On-Site Only)
📅 Position open until filled

As our firm continues to grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented, dependable professional to assist with bookkeeping, data entry, and general accounting tasks. Prior experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

📢 Attention Business Owners: Important Update on FinCEN Reporting Requirements

Starting January 1, 2024, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is implementing new reporting requirements for businesses and their beneficial owners under the Corporate Transparency Act.

⏰ Time is running out!
Businesses formed prior to January 1, 2024 must file their respective report by January 1, 2025. Any new businesses formed in 2024, must report within 90 days of formation.

Here’s what you need to know:
🔹 Who needs to report?
Most corporations, LLCs, and other similar entities formed in the U.S. or registered to do business here.

🔹 What must be reported?
Details about the company and its beneficial owners, including:
• Full legal name
• Date of birth
• Current address
• Identification documents

🔹 Why does this matter?
Failure to comply could result in hefty fines and penalties. This is part of a federal effort to combat money laundering, tax fraud, and other financial crimes.
