To all my folks who are currently using QB Payroll, please note the new pricing will take effect on August 1st if you are billed directly by Intuit.

If you are looking to change due to pricing or whatever your needs are, reach out. We can help you switch to something like Gusto which is affordable and user friendly. We can also connect you with ADP or Paychex, whichever you prefer.

FYI folks....

The IRS is warning that there are scams centered around the Fuel Tax Credit, Sick and Family Leave and the household/nanny taxes. Please be sure if you are taking any of these that you work with a qualified professional. There are BIG penalties on misuse of these including criminal charges!!

Remember if you got us stuff after April 1st, and we have not gotten you documents your taxes were extended. We are still working through some returns in house, but we cannot guarantee anything today. Have an awesome day!

We are taking tomorrow off and essentially taking the week off for all intents and purposes. We will be monitoring phone and email.

Ok everyone, the local nursing home is hosting a Senior Prom and is looking for semi-formal attire for the residents.

I saw it in the Chamber newsletter and got so excited! I am passing on dresses from my Christmas adventure (the different dress each day in front of a tree adventure) and am going through our closet for ties, vests, jewelry, etc.

If anyone has anything they want to add please let me know. We can drop off at my office in town if you like and I will deliver it after tax season and new grand baby season.

I am obsessed with this idea that they are doing and I am so excited to gather up items. Let me know if you have stuff to add for them.

Happy Easter everyone! I hope all of you are enjoying today!

For those who may have asked or are thinking about the property tax credit freeze for folks over 62 in Missouri, we have you covered.

I currently have the Jackson county applications and information needed to file for the freeze. I have a request into Cass county to get their application and processes so we can assist anyone who is eligible.

If you are not in one of those counties but need guidance or assistance, let us know!

You DO NOT have to be one of our clients.

We just want to help folks navigate this process.

Things to keep in mind:
1. Taxes must be current
2. You must be 62 or older
3. You will have to renew your application annually, however your county will send a reminder (and we will keep folks informed each year)
4. The credit is yours, it does not stay with the property. If you sell the property then your freeze ends on that property.
5. You must own or have "proof of interest" if your name is not on the property account.
